Life Insurance Needn't Break The Bank

You may be surprised, but according to independent broker Lifesearch, we are paying the lowest prices ever in real terms for life insurance as its costs have fallen by nearly 30 per cent in the last ten years.

You may be able to save even more on premiums if you switch your policy to another insurer. But it may not be so easy for everyone. If you are in the Armed Forces, which is a high-risk job, or if you are overweight, you will probably have to pay more for your premiums.

A 40-year old man looking for 100,000 pounds of life cover over 25 years was quoted a monthly premium of just over 11 pounds by More Than.Everything was to stay the same for the entire term of the policy. But Lifesearch points out that if this same man was obese with a Body Mass Index (BMI) of over 30, his premiums could be 50 per cent more.

Matt Morris of Lifesearch explains, "The old loading for obesity meant premiums jumped by up to 20 per cent. That is more like 50 per cent today and can in some cases be more.People are being loaded earlier and loaded higher."

He adds, "No single insurer will be cheapest for everyone.

Those who have a high BMI or complicated medical problems should shop around for the best cover."

Stan Mayden, 49, from Malpas in Cheshire, and just a shade over the recommended BMI level, had to do just that.

His bank Lloyds TSB quoted a monthly premium of 29 pounds for 90,000 pounds of decreasing term insurance. This is where the longer the policy goes on the less the payout may be.

He and his wife Judy, 44, who works as a co-ordinator for a firm that provides carers, asked Lifesearch to help them find a better deal. And it did - Legal and General would charge 17.57 pounds a month for the same cover.

Stan was delighted."Lifesearch looked across the entire marketplace and found an insurer that didn't see me as an increased risk," he said."I purchased cover at standard terms, which means I will be able to shave thousands of pounds off the cost of cover over the life of the policy."

NFU Mutual specialises in providing cover for farmers and businessmen in rural areas say that only ten per cent of people who live in the country consider life cover as essential to protect their families and 44 per cent do not see it as a priority.

Other statistics for country dwellers found that ten per cent value the feeling of community and another ten per cent live there to be nearer to their families.

Juliet Ward from NFU Mutual finds the figures about life insurance a bit alarming."Perhaps those in the countryside think that living in a rural community means closer links to their wider family and friends, who could take care of their children if the worst should happen." But she stresses that this could be a risky strategy as difficulties can arise if there is no life cover when one parent dies.

"Life cover doesn't have to break the bank and it's not worth taking short cuts when protecting your family," she says.

NFU Mutual quotes 9.27 pounds a month for a ten year life policy providing 100,000 pounds of cover for a non-smoking, 40-year old woman.A non-smoking man of the same age would pay slightly more at 10.91 pounds a month.

Using Funded Sponsoring to Promote and Expand Your Business

The failure rate of most MLM businesses is quite high, not because their products are inferior but because owners do not know enough to succeed. They either dont have enough knowledge in marketing or that whatever knowledge they have turns out to be inaccurate. This is critical in an industry that has 14 million distributors in the U.S. alone.

Another factor that contributes to failure is the inevitable saturation point that all MLM businesses reach. After exhausting its warm market family, friends, acquaintances, an MLM business will be faced with the challenge of how to build and continue to expand their distribution teams. The normal approaches would be in the form of cold calling or of putting out costly advertisements just to get their messages across.

At this point, most MLM business owners just plain give up or let their distributorship dry up and die a natural death, not a good prospect for anyone who wishes to join an MLM business.

Funded Sponsoring

Enter the funded sponsoring system, which is essentially a smaller-scale model of a more successful MLM company. This system includes all the necessary steps and information that newbie MLM owners need in order to create their own successful business by using the more established MLMs company as a guide. Imagine learning to draw by tracing on paper. Everything is laid out for you; all you have to do is follow the lines.

Whatever makes funded sponsoring manners efficient

In make a request for a funded sponsoring algorithm to book, it must submit to detailed and certainly duplicated interest program that allow an MLM owner to age the cause of a network advertisement business of his own possibility. Variegated getting on techniques, a funded sponsoring system makes use of multiple streams of income that go through been pre-selected and found out to textbook.

An advantage of the funded sponsoring algorithm is that the MLM owner no longer requires to buy leads or advertise their merchandises by the use of exorbitant sales promotion, which often involves fees similar to freebies and promotions anyway. For a wider publicize is produced nearby to him, he can advertise his make to added shoppers without attaining trapped in an ate up advertise.

Clientele included in the funded sponsoring procedure are hitherto pre-passed so the briefing in the problem previously exists. The MLM owner can afterward keep away from inducing bid and sales pitches to vaguely concerned shoppers and slow down stimulating a acquisition that is ordinarily disappeared to randomness.

There is a improved arbitrariness of concluding a acquisition plus the prospective leads constructed using the funded sponsoring algorithm given that these chances are already eyeing the problem on their own. And, for the affair can put up for sale itself, it becomes still additional tempting to employees who are hitherto reflection of linking.

When an MLM owner has paid for the procedure, there is small or no need to assign more currency on advertising and campaign. Peculiar conventional marketing means, a funded sponsoring set of rules or franchise is handy for a exceptionally low cost. A handful are even issued for without charge.

What to foresee

For the included affair agenda is previously discovered to textbook, it is a great deal of lighter to go after and enforce. An MLM owner considering the set of rules should in addition be advantageous sufficient to pick variant proceeds inventing programs to craft multiple returns streams. This way, the business owner is not saddled by effortlessly one or two ways of making capital riches.

The proceeds that is earned from these income streams is at that time re-invested in further carefully-arranged on the internet publicizing so information in the MLM affair remains current. A similar drive swears the problem owner of progressed spotlight over prolonged periods.

The bureau should still offer practice that is easy adequate to be examined by workers who skill little or no previous drills and affair in problem. Exercises ordinarily consists of audio tapes and piece of writing information and the system itself should accommodates without charge leads and web pages and helpful affiliate programs.

An MLM affair owner by means of the algorithm can furthermore steer clear of resource-hungry device of expanding his problem, in addition to building contact and likelihood who may or may not be excel. The affair owner will merely get in meet also those who have proved adequate mind in the affair to truly enroll themselves in it. He can after that productively take away the set of rules of engaging, mentoring and campaign without sacrificing the viability of his problem.

Cherish inducing a wise person

Whatsoever a funded sponsoring agenda does is that it eliminates the need for interest owners to brand mistakes and steer clear of every step that causes most failures in MLM businesses. Era and currency are fixed on extra useful capital that throw in more in language of generate investment.

Don't Get Burned By Web Designers

When Commercial Space Is a Good Move
What Is Advaita Or Oneness

If you bring up the subject of web design with small business people, it wouldn't take long to find someone who has been burned by a web designer. Perhaps they have even come to the conclusion that a web site is not worth the expense. Let's look at how and why that happens, and outline some success principles that will help you when you need web design services. Since so many web designers get it wrong, the web design principles that actually work may surprise you.

One of the problems with web design is that software programs have made it seem easy to create a web site. If you have the software, it would not take you long to build a web site. There are an abundance of inexpensive templates available to make it even easier to put together a web site. Getting a professional looking web site is not difficult at all. So you may wonder, why is that a problem?

The process of creating a web site does not end with making it look professional. In fact, that could very well be one of the least important aspects of a web site design. Let's face it, there are ugly web sites that make a lot of money. Since life is not fair, there are great looking web sites that make little or no money. I'm not saying the professionalism of your web site is not important; I am saying it's not enough.

There is a serious flaw in the web design industry, and small business owners are especially prone to fall victim to it. The problem is that usually, very little business planning goes into a web site design. Too many web designers are more concerned with selling web design than taking the time to build an effective web site.

This deficiency stems from the fact that very few web designers are marketing people. Small business people do not have big advertising budgets, so they are easily attracted to the low rates of average web designers. Good marketing means setting priorities and effectively using your resources to accomplish goals.

The one element I find seriously missing in web design is the very thing that is fundamentally important; that element is uniqueness. A Unique Selling Point (USP) is one of the basic tenets of marketing. You must answer the questions: why should I buy from you, and, what makes you different from my other choices? If you fail in this area, your web site visitor will not be kind to you. They will leave and not come back; they will probably not tell you why they left either.

Read your web site copy to see if it contains another common error. Does it say, "We this," and, "We that?" Do not "we" on your web site visitors! Your web site copy should speak to the visitor, address their needs, and solve their problem. It must compel them in some way. You need to draw them in and sell them on your solution.

When you take notice of how many web sites violate these basic marketing principles above, you will begin to see how you have the opportunity to rise above your competitors. Just think, if the majority of business web sites are violating even these most basic principles, how much more could you benefit from hiring a web designer who understands marketing?

There is a lot of emphasis placed on search engine optimization (SEO), and there should be, because this is very important if you want to have your web site found by people using the search engines. For most web sites, search engines account for 80% to 95% of all visitors. However, as important as SEO is, if you have a web site that is not creating sales with the visitors you are already getting, SEO is the wrong priority.

The next principle is the one you will probably find the most surprising. People actually read web sites! Yes, they do have a short attention span, and we will look at that point next, but they do read. There have been many studies done to document the way people use web pages. Even though so much attention is given to graphics, the studies show that well over 75% of the time, web page users read the text before they notice graphics.

This does not mean that graphics are unimportant. Visual elements are one of the many advantages a web site can provide. When you consider that people use the Internet to seek information, then it does makes sense that they will read your web site's content. Providing the right information can mean the difference between winning a customer, or surrendering them to your competition.

I also promised to cover the short attention span issue. It is often called the 3 second rule. According to web studies, if you cannot capture the attention of your visitor in approximately 3 seconds, that's how fast they usually leave your web site. I suspect the reason is because so many web sites are such a horrible waste of time, that people's patience has been worn down. The solution is to have a fast loading page that quickly clues them in that you can solve their problem. If they can "skim" in a few seconds, and you grab their attention, you have successfully drawn them in so they will stay a while.

Statistically, it takes 7 visits before you make a sale. If your web site is not done correctly, you will have dismal results because you can't get them to come back seven times. That is why so many web site owners are disappointed with their success. That is why some web designers provide what seems to be a bargain, while other web designers have to charge more to give you a better value. It takes more time to plan and create a good web site design.

The good news is that most of your competitors will go for the bargain and suffer the same fate as everyone else who does not realize the value of an effective web site design. Very few of them will invest the resources needed for success. If you do, you can win. This does not mean you need the big budget of a major corporation, or that it has to be expensive, it just means you need to be willing to do better than average. The rewards are much greater when you stretch beyond the norm.

Club Penguin Founders Strike It VERY Rich

Why Aren't Your Ads Working?
Headache And Migraine Pain Relief Through Hypnotherapy

http://www.clubpenguin.com/

They may be flightless in the real world but penguins are soaring in the virtual one, as borne out by Walt Disney Co.’s agreement to pay $350-million for Kelowna, B.C.-based Club Penguin.

The online club lets subscribers take on the identities of penguins that waddle and chat in spots such as a ski hill, custom-furnished igloos and a coffee shop. The deal, announced yesterday, generates a windfall for the company’s three founders, who are its only shareholders, and highlights the burgeoning appetite for social networking sites that cater to a preteen audience.

Having fended off multiple offers from venture capital investors and would-be buyers, Club Penguin’s creators decided deep-pocketed Disney would be the best partner to help a company based on a flightless bird spread its virtual wings, co-founder Lane Merrifield.

Club Penguin launched in October, 2005, and now has more than 700,000 subscribers who pay $5.95 a month or $57.95 a year. The privately held company does not release financial information, but Merrifield said it was designed to be self-sustaining from its inception and is profitable.

Founded by Merrifield, Dave Krysko and Lance Priebe, the site was designed to appeal to youngsters from 6 to 14 and provide an advertising-free zone that features penguin avatars through which subscribers chat, play games to earn cash and decorate their igloos.

The founders, who all have children of their own, wanted to create a virtual playground that would emphasize fun and creativity.

Top 10 Ways to Peeve Your Website Visitors

Tech Tools Tutorial
We are launched!

How did peeves become pets? Don't know. Don't really care. But all of us have our pet peeves when it comes to surfing the net for information.

Here are the top 10 according to many surveys:

1. Pop Ups

Pop ups come in many flavors: entry pop ups, exit pop ups, delayed, small, large, multiple, Flyin, scrolling, always on top, browser stopping, surf interrupting, must be cleared to move on, viagra, and the ever popular porn.

Except for an occasional squeeze page to get a free ebook or report, web surfers HATE pop ups.

So why do they continue to litter the Internet landscape? Simple. They work.

2. Extra Software Needed to View Site

Don't blame Canada. Blame Adobe.

Adobe made the Acrobat reader a must for viewing PDF files mainly because:

- It solved a need. Every page now printed out the same regardless of which printer or operating system was being used. It could even be made interactive for form completion.

- Adobe gave away millions of the free readers before publishers adopted the new PDF format as a standard for ebooks.

Acrobat users now demand PDF files in most instances where ebooks used to have various formats including "exe". Hackers have made downloading exe files from unknown sources an unsafe activity.

As standard as Acrobat now is, the same is not true for Flash, Shockwave, Deja Vu, and a host of other add-ons with various degrees of support.

I don't need to sit through a 2 meg Flash intro when what I want is information. Apparently, many others agree. You can add Flashblock to your FireFox browser and decide for yourself when to allow the Flash to load.

3. Dead Dead Dead Links

Nothing hacks me off faster than finding a spot on anchor text link that goes nowhere.

It's like having you mouth water over a menu special only to have the kitchen say they have run out.

4. Registration Required to Visit Site

Some sites think their bytes don't stink. They think you should register and login to see anything beyond the home page.

What they are doing is asking me to get married before the first date.

What's in it for me?

In this Internet day and age, a company and site has to build trust before a random visitor is going to cough up a name and email address.

Show me a little leg first.

5. Slowwww Pages

If I have to wait more than 4 or 5 seconds to begin viewing your site, I am gone - never to return.

If your servers are slow, find a new ISP.

If you loaded your pages with Flash, MIDI, audio, video, or other files that load with the page, dump them. Put up links instead. Let the visitor choose if they want to read or watch the video.

6. Outdated Content

One huge advantage of the web is the ability of bloggers and other Drudge wannabes to bypass traditional media and post news online instantly.

If you have not updated your website in 14 months, what does that tell me about your company. Certainly, you are less than a cutting edge solution for my problem.

7. Bad Navigation

Web designers prefer dazzle over function. Function is boring. Who wants a simple text link when a pop up Javascript navigation bar impresses the client?

I do.

So do the search engines.

Every web page needs recognizable, underlined text links on every page, preferably top and bottom.

Don't make me waste time trying to find the internal page I am really looking for.

8. No Contact Information

Poor contact information is a binary pair of bad navigation. How many sites have you been to where you cannot find a phone number, a street address, or even an email address? Plenty.

I think it's sweet that you put up an email contact form on your site, but I prefer to use my default email compose screen. Every web-based email form is different. I don't want to waste time learning to use your form when my email client works fine.

What are you hiding?

9. No Decent Site Search Tool

There is no excuse for this one. If you have a large website with dozens or hundreds of pages, give me an internal search box to find what I need.

Google and Yahoo! and many others will give you the tool - free - to put on your site. Use it.

10. Disabled "Back" Button

I don't want a website to dictate how I experience their site. I am a guest on your site. I don't need to come back to your page when I hit the back button. That's why I hit the back button in the first place. You don't have the information I am looking for.

In a similar vein, I don't like to see other right click functions like "view page source" disabled. I don't need to steal your HTML code, but if I want to, disabling right click will not stop me. I might want to see how you achieved a certain formatting effect. If I am impressed, you can bet I'll be back.

Pet peeves take many forms online. No list like this is complete, but any webmaster that can avoid these 10 major annoyances is a hero in my book.

I look forward to visiting your site.

Making Money Naming Domains

Bridging the Generation Gap
Magnetic clasps - Clever Clasp.

http://www.pickydomains.com

PickyDomains.Com is a perfect example of how to turn one’s talent into a profitable business. With ever expanding Internet and tens of millions existing websites, finding an available domain name that’s not already taken by cybersquatters can be a real nightmare.

But one man’s problem is another man’s solution. Rather than to shell out hundreds or thousands of dollars for a domain name on the aftermarket, an increasing number of web entrepreneurs turn to professional “domain namers"?.

While most naming agencies charge a non-refundable fee that can be as high as $1500 for a corporate domain, one service that unites 17 professional domain namers from countries like United States, Russia, Australia and New Zealand, decided to offer a risk-free service that costs only 50 dollars per domain.

After 50 dollars are deposited, clients start getting a list of available domain names via e-mail for a period of 30 days. If they see a domain they like, they register it and notify the service about domain acquired. The individual, who came up with the name, gets $25, the other half going to the service. If no domain is registered, the money is refunded in full.

While the idea is brainlessly simple, it appears that PickyDomains.Com has no competition with its risk-free business model. But that is almost certain to change as more people find out that finding available domain names for other people can be a profitable business.

11 Tips for Pay-Per-Click Success

Go West, Young Entrepreneur! Is The Valley Better For Software Startups?
Health improvements

This list details some very important points to keep in mind when creating or managing any pay-per-click campaign. Is this all there is to know about pay-per-click advertising? Absolutely not, but for those new to PPC it should serve as good place to start. Additionally, pay-per-click veterans or at least the moderately-seasoned will want to touch upon these points now and then to brush up on their fundamentals.

1) Do your keyword homework.

Use Google's free Keyword Tool or sign up for a WordTracker account to find out which keywords are the most competitive. The more competitive the keyword, the more expensive your clicks will be. While you're finding out which keywords are too expensive you'll come across some that aren't being targeted heavily by advertisers. Take a good look at these - they may be your keys to a successful niche campaign.

2) Don't bunch your ad groups.

You should be striving to separate your ad groups by keyword. Whatever your target, separate your keyword lists into closely related groups containing the same target words and write ads geared specifically to those words. Your ads will show up higher in results based on their quality, and search terms show up bold in results - a click-through rate booster.

3) Drive home your selling point.

What's your offer? Why are you better than the others? Remember that your ads are going to display with your competitors. The difference between a user clicking your ad and clicking a competitor ad is about 100 pixels on the screen - or a millisecond of time. You need to convince them that you are the one they want. You are better. Grab them.

4) Don't send users to your home page.

This is perhaps one of the worst things you can do to your Pay-Per-Click campaign. Internet users are notoriously impatient. Send them to your home page when they were searching for a specific product or service and see how fast they leave. Don't waste your advertising budget - send them to optimized landing pages.

5) Optimize your landing pages.

Your landing pages need to drive something home immediately for your users: "you have landed in the right place." They need to know that, yes, this is what they were looking for, here it is, here is why it is better than the rest and here's the easy thing they need to do to get it. In most cases you'll need to create multiple landing pages based on your different ad groups and keywords, but look at it this way - if your users aren't landing at pages geared exactly to their search phrases they'll leave and take your advertising budget with them.

6) Don't lie in your ads.

People aren't dumb. If you promise something in your ads you had better well deliver. Otherwise you'll not only waste advertising dollars but damage your brand. Be honest, and focus on points that make you stand out from the competition. Grandiose ad text might bring in clicks, but if it isn't the truth it won't bring in conversions.

7) Your domain name counts.

In most cases you can display a domain name that you own as the "display domain" but point the ads to a page on a different domain. Why does this matter? If you own a domain name that contains the keyword text it will show up bold and increase conversions. Enter the optimized domain as the displayed domain, point the ads to your landing pages and you can expect higher CTRs in most cases.

8) Utilize negative keywords.

Google has a new Negative Keyword Tool that will allow you to find negative keywords that you should specify for your ads. Negative keywords are those that you don't want your ads to display for. For example, if you're selling "blue widgets" you don't want to display your ads to those users searching for "free blue widgets." If you don't use negative keywords you are missing out on a chance to get more targeted traffic to your landing pages, and this can really hurt your conversion rates.

9) Test, test, and test some more.

The greatest thing about internet advertising is the ability it grants you to measure your success. It's easy to create A/B split tests with Pay-Per-Click advertising. Change one word, add a comma, include a value proposition. . .just make sure you only change one thing for each split or you won't know which variable it was that made the difference! You'll find out right away that this is a great way to optimize your click-through rates - just don't forget that clicks aren't everything!

10) Don't focus too heavily on CTRs.

Getting tons of clicks isn't always the name of the game. In fact, if you aren't using proper techniques to ensure that you're getting targeted traffic and sending it to well-optimized landing pages you can blow through your advertising budget in no time flat. Remember that the success of any advertisement is getting back more than you put in. It's an investment, not a cost - so do all that you can to better your rate of return!

11) Don't pigeonhole yourself.

We all know that Google AdWords is the most popular Pay-Per-Click service out there. Your competitors know it, your users know it - even your grandma might know it. It would be foolish to ignore Google as a venue for advertising, but don't forget that there are other search engines out there who offer similar services. Yahoo!'s new Panama search system is catching on, and Microsoft's adCenter is nothing to sneeze at either. Both companies are currently offering sweet promotional deals to new Pay-Per-Click advertisers to stay competitive so take advantage and diversify!
